Budgie (App Store / Google Play listing: Budgie: Budget Smarter) Last updated: 12 September 2026
Two things you can do, both from inside the App:
Deletion is immediate and permanent, and it cannot be undone. If you want a copy of your data first, export it via Profile → Settings → Export before you delete.
Email support@tap-app.com.au from the email address associated with your Budgie account and ask us to delete it. We may need to ask you for information to confirm the request comes from the account holder before we action it.
Deleting your account permanently removes:
Data on your device is separate: it stays on the device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data, including any AI insight cards.
Subscription and purchase records for Budgie Pro are held by Apple, Google Play and RevenueCat for their own billing, accounting and tax purposes. We cannot delete those records, and they are retained under those providers’ respective policies. They are records of a transaction; they do not contain your budgeting data.
Deleting your Budgie account does not cancel a Budgie Pro subscription. Cancel it separately in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings, or via Profile → Settings → Manage subscription in the App before you delete your account.
If you want to clear your budgeting data but keep your Budgie account, open the App and go to Profile → Settings → Erase all data, then confirm. This is immediate and permanent, and it cannot be undone. Consider exporting a backup first, via Profile → Settings → Export.
All of your income and expense entries (including any notes), budgets and income targets, savings goals, recurring series and custom categories. Your starting balance is reset to zero, and any AI insight cards are cleared. If Sync to cloud is turned on, the erase also applies to the copy held in the cloud and to every other device signed in to your account.
Your account and sign‑in remain active, as do your App preferences (currency, appearance, haptics) and any unused insight credits. Each erased record leaves behind a deletion marker — an identifier and a timestamp, with no financial information in it — which is retained so that the erase reaches your other devices. Subscription and purchase records are retained as described above.
To remove the account itself as well, use Profile → Settings → Delete account instead.
